Georgia wants to enter Chinese market

Georgian businessmen have an opportunity to attend the China-Eurasia International Exhibition in Urumchi on September 1, Trend reports.A delegation of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region is on a visit to Tbilisi. State Council of China awards Georgia status of tourist country

The State Council of China has awarded Georgia the status of tourist country, Trend says with reference to the Georgian Foreign Ministry and the National Tourism Administration of China."This decision will significantly increase the number of Chinese tourists and contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Georgia and China in the sphere of tourism," the Foreign Ministry of Georgia mentioned in its statement.China's population, according to recent data, is more than 1.3 billion people.

Georgia and China open direct air link

Georgia and China have opened direct flights. The issue has been discussed by Georgian Deputy Minister for the Economy and Sustainable Development and head of the Agency for Civil Aviation, Irakly Davitadze, with the China Southern Airlines Company, Business Georgia reports. The first flight will be made by China Southern Airlines on June 9, 2011.
